CheetahXD™
Broadband Assurance Platform
Isolate issues within the multi-layered HFC network by
intelligently aggregating network fault and performance
metrics.
The CheetahXD Broadband Service Assurance Platform is
designed to manage the HFC network (from headend to CPE)
by proactively monitoring the physical network elements
that provide revenue-generating IP services (such as high-speed
data and VoIP). The ability to proactively pinpoint network
degradation can result in reduced trouble tickets and truck
rolls.
The CheetahXD software framework
provides cross-domain (XD) fault and performance tools
for DOCSIS-based network management—while preserving existing customer investments—by
integrating multi-vendor, DOCSIS-based and
HMS transponders, as well as legacy
Tollgrade/Cheetah transponders. CheetahXD’s optional
Battery Analyst application allows operators to remotely
test the performance of standby power supplies to ensure
operational capacity in the event of commercial power
outages.
CheetahXD leverages Tollgrade’s
newest DOCSIS-based transponders featuring VoIP firmware
management capability. Users access web-based fault and
performance views to navigate across the various physical
and service domains (HFC, HSD, etc.) from a single point
in the network, visually correlating the physical network
impairments to the performance information of revenue-generating
IP services and vice-versa.
CheetahXD’s open architecture provides consolidated
fault views, featuring customizable smart launch menus
to drill down into EMS-specific functions. CheetahXD’s
northbound OSS interfaces, developer modeling tool kits
and future programmatic correlation rules uniquely enable
operators to extend the functionality of CheetahXD as their
operational practices require. |
