Reduce the costs of maintaining and provisioning voice and broadband services over a fiber/copper network
Access Network Test Units help the network operator reduce the costs of maintaining and provisioning voice and broadband services over a complex fiber/copper network. Tollgrade offers a wide portfolio of Access Network Test Units of advanced DSP-based test heads designed to meet the requirements of central office / exchange installations and remote node (RT, MSAN, etc.) installations. Tollgrade’s latest generation of Access Network Test Units provide best-in-class physical and service testing of triple-play services served from traditional switched networks, broadband DSLAMs, or new IP-based Fiber-To-The-Node (FTTN) networks.
Managed by our Operations Support Systems (OSS) software, Tollgrade Access Network Test Unit portfolio allows service providers to:
- Offer and maintain multiple IP services
- Identify and locate faults during or prior to subscriber trouble reports
- Reduce trouble ticket volume
- Minimize costs through expert trouble analysis
Our comprehensive Access Network Test Units portfolio includes the following products:
LDU 50 and LDU 50+ – Best-in-Class Physical Loop Testing and Pre-Qualification for Triple Play Services
Our LDU product line provides best-in-class physical loop testing and pre-qualification for triple-play services served from traditional switched networks, broadband DSLAMs, or IP-based Fiber-To-The-Node (FTTN) networks. Enabling network operators to reduce the cost of provisioning and maintaining voice, broadband Internet and video services over copper, these products provide the best value physical loop testing for triple-play services.
BDU - Best-in-class loop testing for broadband services.
The BDU provides best-in-class access network testing for high speed DSL and broadband services served from traditional switched networks, DSLAMs, MSANs, and IP-based Fiber-To-The-Node (FTTN) networks. The BDU supports 4TEL® and Celerity® physical loop test and service test functions, enabling network operators to reduce the cost of provisioning and maintaining voice, broadband Internet and video services over copper.
DigiTest® ICE® – Cost Effective IP Service Assurance Probes
DigiTest ICE test probe provides a cost-effective and efficient service assurance solution for IP Triple Play and business-class g. SHDSL services. DigiTest ICE is optimized to support the pre-qualification, service verification, and fault isolation needs beyond those provided by DSLAM-embedded SELT/DELT capabilities. Once provisioned, DigiTest ICE can verify the copper loop and the services from the DSLAM, the point in the network that most precisely reflects the customer experience.
DigiTest® EDGE® – Multi-layered Broadband Testing Optimized for the Network Edge
DigiTest Edge manages and tests your multi-layered network to accurately qualify provisioning prior to service activation and isolate multi-layered network faults. Packaged in a compact and environmentally hardened chassis, DigiTest EDGE offers various configurations to provide a complete suite of POTS, DSL and DS1 testing.
DigiTest® DMU+ – Replace Obsolete Legacy Equipment While Adding Advanced Testing Features for DSL Qualification
DigiTest Measurement Units are modular, environmentally hardened test heads designed for testing Central Office (CO) and Remote Terminal-fed (RT) copper facilities. Thanks to its flexible architecture, it also makes an ideal replacement for aging and problematic equipment with the CO and RT. DigiTest DMU+ delivers a robust and highly automated, flow through testing capability that can significantly reduce the cost of qualifying, provisioning and troubleshooting copper loops for POTS, ISDN and DSL services.
MCU® – Extend the Reach of Switch-Based Test Access Through Fiber Loops Via a Simulated “Metallic Channel”
Tollgrade’s patented MCU® channel units for digital by-pass pair circuits extend the reach of embedded, switch based test systems to widely deployed Digital Loop Carrier (DLC) systems via an emulated “metallic channel.” It provides a cost-effective means to transition metallic pairs to fiber-based DLC systems complementing programs to either retire or better utilize existing copper facilities in the local exchange plant.
