In 1997, Tollgrade introduced its Lighthouse® Cable Status Monitoring System (now known as CheetahLight™), the company’s entry into the cable broadband marketplace. With the addition of the Cheetah product line in 2003, Tollgrade assumed a leadership position in physical layer network test and monitoring.

Tollgrade’s Cheetah products are deployed in over 200 cable systems, providing operators with a robust suite of physical layer status monitoring features. From proof-of-performance testing to dedicated FSK network infrastructure solutions supporting proprietary monitoring protocols, Tollgrade offers proven expertise and solutions designed to fit your outside plant status monitoring needs for power supplies, fiber optic nodes and amplifiers.

Tollgrade has also championed the development of industry standards for interoperability between network elements designed for the cable broadband market. These newer, interoperable SCTE-HMS standards provide FSK-based status monitoring parameters supported in today’s Cheetah solutions.
